Northern Touge Race Day '08

The day started before the break of dawn (some did not even manage to get a shut eye) as the participants from Penang headed to Fantasi opposite Tommax as the rendezvous point. As soon as everyone was there, the convoy started its way to bukit merah for minor pit stop. After that, it was non stop all the way (except for the minor incident as explained in Ray's blog and another short toilet pit stop). The turn out was so big that it took the crowd approximately 45 minutes to make its way into the side of the track. Below are some highlights of the day.

Participants making their way into the track.

The huge turn out that day.

The filled Grand Stand.

Prizes and Trophies for the 3 categories.

Admiration.

The monk on his flying lap.

Northern Touge would like to thank all participants, sponsors and crew that helped make this day a memorable event and would also like to congratulate all the winners of the 3 categories, 1600cc, 1800cc, and the open class. We hope all participants had an enjoyable time, let bygones be bygones and we shall definitely see you again next year!

Northern Touge Race Day!!!!

The day most of us (if not all) are anticipating is fast approaching. Some acquaintances are already scrambling to get their monster rides in shape just for the big day. What am I rambling about? It is the upcoming track day at Dato’ Sagor Track in the Elephant Village (Kg. Gajah for locals) , the Northern Touge race day on the 23rd of November 2008!

If you haven’t signed up for this event, it would be advisable to do so immediately as the track day has received tremendous response. Participants are pouring in from everywhere and be sure to be there to meet some local favourites, old champs and new ones in the making! Just to kick things up a notch, Northern Touge is proud to present Hypertune & its sister magazine, Shift as the official magazines for the day. Yes, that's right. They’ll be covering the race day that weekend (special thanks to Scavenger). So guys and girls, gear up for this memorable day!
